This is a step by step presentation on how to download MP3 Audio eBooks to your PC.

Today we are going to learn how students, teachers and librarians can access audiobooks, from the School eBook Library, for listening on a personal computer. To get started, you will need A personal computer or laptop An internet connection or data service And an eLibrary card for the School eBook Library During this tutorial I will be using the Chrome browser, but these steps will work for all major browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari. Let’s begin: If your school gave you a direct link to the library, please skip this part of the tutorial, otherwise open a browser and type into your search bar. Now select Sign In. From here you can enter an offsite access code provided to you by your school or enter your username and password and click “Sign In” After you log in, the homepage of the School eBook Library will load. Your homepage may look different than this one but everything in our tutorial will work the same way. Before we talk about downloading audiobooks, let’s take a moment to investigate some of the exciting discovery tools for students on the homepage. First, our eBook Finder, this is a great tool for finding interesting resources quickly. Simply type in a search term and click search. We also have a collection of video tutorials, like this one, taking you step by step through many of the fun and useful features of our library. In addition you will find a variety of collections hand curated for students of all ages such as math and history lessons, audio books, children’s literature, graphic novels and sheet music. Now let’s get started: If you’d like to browse for an audiobook, move your mouse cursor to the books tab in the main menu. When the dropdown menu appears, click Audio eBook Collection This will take you to the Audio eBook Collection page. Scroll through this page to select an audiobook. On the other hand, if you know what you are looking for, you can search for it using the eBook finder tool. Today, we will search for one of my personal favorites, “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” by Frank Baum. The eBook finder tool will help make author title and article suggestions based on the information entered in If you see something you are looking for, feel free to select it, if not, continue with your search. This brings us to the search results page which includes eBooks, articles and other resources. Lets refine our search to Audio Books only. First click the grid display button and then check Audio Books from the Refine Your Search bar. Now we have reduced our search results from thousands of resources down to the audiobooks you see here. If you hover your mouse cursor over an audiobook cover, you can preview useful information about that book such as author, publisher, language, and the collection the book belongs to. When you find the resource you’re looking for, click the resource image or title to load the Book Details page. As you can see, and hear, your audiobook is already playing, and you can choose which chapter to listen to. The tabs here contain author title and subject information relevant to your book in the form of encyclopedia articles These articles are supplied by World Heritage Encyclopedia. We have also provided collections of other books related to the book you are listening to now. School eBook Library gives you several options to save your book for listening when not connected to the internet, including Google Drive and Dropbox, But for now, lets save this audio book directly to your computer by clicking the book’s cover. If you are using Chrome your audiobook will begin downloading immediately after clicking the book cover. If you are using Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari Your computer will ask for permission to save this book. To continue with your download you need to grant your computer permission. By default, your audiobook will download as a zip file to your downloads folder. This is the default setting for most browsers unless you previously specified another location. To listen to your audiobook, you will need to extract it. Most computers can handle this task natively, and the process is very simple. First, locate the zip file containing your audiobook Right-click on the file and click Extract All Choose the location you want to extract to, and click Extract After extracting your files you can listen to your audiobook in a media player of your choice. If you have an Mp3 player, or a phone supporting Mp3 technology, you can also listen to your audiobook using those devices. All - Congratulations, you have successfully downloaded a new audio book. While you’re visiting us at the School eBook Library, be sure to explore all the resources our library has to offer, including a student self-publishing portal, educational test preparation videos, and for younger students, video book readings of popular children’s fiction titles. Thanks for watching. Until next time, this has been Mia with the School eBook Library.
